Michael Collie has presented networked documentaries, including "The Joy of Smelling", a four-part series investigating our olfactory abilities, and "The Second Victory", a half-hour special recorded with the Gurkhas in Nepal.
For six years Michael Collie was a presenter on Country File on BBC One, during which time he also presented on Top Gear and hosted the canoeing series Paddles Up. Another spell at Radio 4 saw Michael presenting the consumer affairs programme, You and Yours.
Michael Collie's television work in the Midlands began with a live political debate series, The Midlands At Westminster. The bright lights of London beckoned, and he joined the pioneering videonews station Channel One as news anchor. Soon afterwards, the BBC invited Michael back to Birmingham to work as Presenter of Midlands Today. Since then Michael has also worked as a newsreader on BBC Radio 2 and as a presenter of The Automotive Channel on Sky.
On stage, Michael Collie has returned to his drama roots by writing and presenting concerts with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, and - more recently - with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
