Michael Collie's
television work in the Midlands began with a live political debate
series, The Midlands At Westminster.
The
bright
lights of London beckoned, and he joined the pioneering videonews
station Channel One as news anchor. Soon afterwards, the BBC
invited Michael back to Birmingham to work as Presenter of
Midlands Today.
Since then Michael has also worked as a newsreader on BBC Radio
2 and as a presenter of The Automotive Channel on Sky and The Politics Show for the BBC.
On stage, Michael Collie has returned to his
drama roots by writing and presenting concerts with the Philharmonia
Orchestra
in London,
and - more recently - with the City of Birmingham Symphony
Orchestra.
As well as being an experienced
live television presenter and voice-over artiste, Michael Collie
is a member of the Professional Speakers Association, Equity
and the National Union of Journalists. He is in great demand
as a television and video presenter, as a host for award dinners
and presentations, and for chairing public events.
